Come listen to a recital at 5 pm on Saturday, May 10, at the Presbyterian Church of Upper Montclair – 53 Norwood Ave., Upper Montclair, NJ 07043. Montclair State University students, Monika Szumski (flute/piccolo) and Devon Tipp (bassoon), from the John J. Cali School of Music will be performing. The concert will feature works of the last 100 years, including Guggenheim Fellowship recipient Elizabeth Brown, Heinz Holliger and Jean Françaix. Monika and Devon will be joined by collaborative artist Eric Olsen and Flute Quartet “Stage 4.”
All proceeds will go to “A Lot to Grow” – a group of community gardens that grow vegetables and herbs for distribution to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and subsidized senior housing facilities in Essex County, New Jersey. Suggested donation is $15.00.
