Friends Of Verona Public Library Seeking Volunteers

The Friends of the Verona Public Library will meet on Jan. 10.

VERONA, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Friends of the Verona Public Library. Learn more about posting announcements or events to your local Patch site here.

The Verona Public Library opened its doors on December 1 to a wonderful newly-renovated library building. The Friends of the Library were there to support the library and seek more volunteers. Since 1984, the Friends of the Verona Public Library have been supplementing the budget, services, and public relations efforts of the Verona Public Library. Perhaps the most visible activity of the Friends is the organization and running of the annual Book Sale, which we are looking forward to resuming now that the building has re-opened. The money raised by the Friends is given to the library for needed enhancements such as children’s programming, artist receptions, and other special events. The Friends group is looking for volunteers for various jobs during the year including book sorting, event planning, and leadership roles. Please consider joining the Friends as a volunteer or dues-paying member so we can continue to enhance the community by providing outstanding programs through the Verona Public Library.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, January 10 at 7 pm in the Verona Public Library at 17 Gould Street. Hope to see you there. Questions? Contact friendsveronalibrary@gmail.com.
