Here’s How Snow Forecast Is Impacting Verona
Verona city and school officials are making preparations amid a storm-related state of emergency.

VERONA, NJ — As New Jersey battens down amid a state of emergency, and weather forecasters call for a winter snowstorm on Wednesday, Verona officials are making their own preparations.
The Verona Police Department issued the following advisory at 12:46 p.m. on Wednesday:
"The Essex OEM has declared a Snow Emergency as of noon today. No vehicles shall be parked on Township or County during periods requiring snow removal. Vehicles parked on roadways will be issued a summons and towed in accordance with Local Ordinance. Additionally, no overnight on street parking will be permitted."

The Verona Public School District held an early dismissal on Wednesday, Feb. 20. All after-school activities were cancelled.
Due to impending weather forecast, all students will be dismissed on Wednesday, February 20 based on the Verona Public Schools early dismissal schedule. Check website for details. Stay safe, stay warm.
