Lu Nello: For the Wine Lover and Romantic in All of Us
Stevens Avenue Eatery offers extensive specials, wine list.
Lu Nello is an upscale and romantic Italian restaurant that is located in Cedar Grove. Originally from Little Falls, Owner and Chef Louis Seger uses his training at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and his experience cooking at the Rainbow Room in New York to create incredible dishes and innovative specials.
Lu Nello, which opened in January 1990, reflects Chef Seger’s creative style and passion for food. Each dish that I tasted was incredible and embodied the great thought taken in its preparation. From the stuffed fig appetizer, to the short rib and gnocchi special, to the incredible bread pudding for dessert, one dish was more mouth watering than the next.
While the restaurant offers a classic Italian menu, the Chef prides himself on innovative specials prepared with the freshest ingredients. The menu features homemade pastas as well as his signature fish dishes like Medaglione di Vitello Lunello. Chef Seger says, “It is important never to compromise on quality. I oversee all the dishes that come out of the kitchen myself.”
