Newark Man Arrested For Alleged Cedar Grove Break-In: Police
An Essex County man has been accused of breaking into his former employer's unoccupied home in Cedar Grove.

An Essex County man has been accused of illegally entering his former employer’s unoccupied home in Cedar Grove and stealing bicycles and household items, police said.
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, Bruce Chung, 62, of Newark, allegedly entered the Myrtle Avenue home on the morning of March 3 and stole items including two Trek bicycles and “various household objects.”
After noticing items missing from his home, the victim told police that he conducted a review of his home surveillance equipment and allegedly observed Chung inside the residence for more than an hour.

A police investigation resulted in the issuance of warrants charging Chung with burglary and theft.
Chung was subsequently arrested at a North Caldwell home where he was staying, processed at police headquarters and released pending a Superior Court arraignment on March 17 in Newark.

The reportedly stolen property has not been recovered, police stated.
