Packs with Purpose, Montessori Open House and More
What's happening in Verona and Cedar Grove Tuesday.

Patch has put together things you need to know for Tuesday.
As we get closer to the start of the new school year, folks in Verona and Cedar Grove are starting to prepare. Of course, some need a little to help to get ready—and you can be of assistance. The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is asking residents to donate items disadvantaged families may need so that their kids can have a positive start in September. The group's Packs with Purpose Drive is underway to collect backpacks and school supplies to be distributed to families in need. Check out the group's wish list or make a donation online. All donations are tax deductible, and a drop box is available at the Verona Community Center for items. If you have items and you need picked up, send email to info@veronajuniors.org.
Considering Montessori education for your child? Tonight's the night: Check out the Monarch Montessori School Open House at the Little Falls-based school Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at Monarch Montessori, 2 Newark Pompton Turnpike in Little Falls. Visitors can tour the school, meet Monarch's certified teachers and experience an actual Montessori lesson. RSVPs to 973-928-3605 are appreciated but not required.
If you're a business owner, your school days are likely behind you, but this is a great time to prepare for Back to School season by ensuring your Verona-Cedar Grove Patch business listing is correct and up-to-date. The first step is making sure that you claim your listing: Owners or managers should search for their business listing and select "Claim your listing" in order to make updates to the page. A form will pop up asking for your name, contact information, and proof of ownership. A Patch representative will contact you during the next few days to verify your info, and once that's done, you'll have the power to manage your listing (via a button on the top of your Places page) and make sure that Patch readers know all they need to give you their business!
