Parenting Lecture Series Continues this Week at H.B. Whitehorne
Series aims to provide parents with tools to help children develop critical life skills.

Come one come all! Parenting Lecture Series at H.B. Whitehorne Starts in January. Ring in the New Year with fresh information and additional skills to add to your parenting tool kit.
H.B. Whitehorne Middle School is proud to host The Safety Net Parenting Lecture Series beginning Jan. 5, 2012. The Safety Net Project is three year collaboration between the H.B.W. Middle School and The Mental Health Association, funded by The Partners for Health Foundation. The project’s goals are to enhance positive peer connections, improve students’ coping skills, support teachers’ efforts to provide a caring and academically challenging learning environment and to facilitate family access to community resources designed to support their needs.
The lecture series is one of the Safety Net Project initiatives and aims to provide parents with support and information in order to help their children develop the social, emotional and academic skills they need to be successful.

Hebe Schafer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Safety Net Project director at H.B.W. and Nicole Azzati, District Social Worker, will be co-leading the lecture series. If you are a parent with questions about your child’s development, want to improve your parenting skills and enjoy a lively discussion, this is the series for you!
