Photos: Students 'Get into Shape' for School's 80th Anniversary

Giant "80" formed on school's front lawn captured from above.

This morning, under the scorching sun of the Friday leading into Memorial Day Weekend, the entire F.N. Brown Elementary School student body got into formation in the shape of a massive "80" to mark the school's 80th anniversary.

The moment was captured from above via a 102-foot fire truck ladder, which was set up and monitored by members of the Verona Police Department, Verona Fire Department and Verona Public Works. A 500-foot section of Grove Avenue in front of the school was temporarily blocked off as the crane got into position.

The students eventually grew restless under the relentless sun, but the moment was finally captured. Afterwards, the 4th Grade class, who are counting down their last days F.N. Brown before moving on to middle school, formed into the shape of the number 11, for Class of 2011.
