Curriculum includes specialty Preschool Programs for ages 2-1/2 – 4 specifically designed for the toddler dancer and Childrens Workshops for ages 5-7. Classes include ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop and technique. The Oratorio Society of New Jersey (OSNJ) will get your summer started on the right note with the third annual installment of the return of its "summer sings," where the audience becomes the performers. The event will take place at Newark’s historic Bethany Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 3, at 7 pm.
Choral singers and enthusiasts are invited to join the OSNJ as they sing through one of the most popular and revered choral masterpieces – Mozart’s Requiem. The piece will be conducted by OSNJ's music director Sándor Szabó, with professional soloists and accompaniment. The evening will also include a sampling of the American spirituals that OSNJ recently performed at their spring “America Inspired” concert. The audience is welcome to join in or to listen.
Bring your own scores of Mozart’s Requiem or borrow one of ours. Scores for the spirituals will be provided for those who wish to join in.
There’s free parking in the church parking lot at Hudson and Warren Streets and public transportation via NJ Transit bus route #34. The suggested donation is $15.
