Storm Causes Damage Throughout Cedar Grove: Police

A weekend storm caused "numerous" reports of property damage and power outages in Cedar Grove, police reported.

Cedar Grove, NJ – The weekend storm caused “numerous” reports of property damage and power outages in Cedar Grove, police reported.

According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, officers investigated several instances of downed trees and resulting property damage throughout the township on Sunday.

In addition, there were several power outages reported in the south end of the township, all attributed to high winds that morning, police stated.

Residents reported that downed trees and tree limbs damaged parked cars on Harper Terrance and Bowden Road, a back deck on Beverly Road and a fence on Oak Drive, police said.

In addition, trees and tree limbs also temporarily blocked roadways on Mountain Avenue, Ridge Road and Cedar Street, authorities stated.

No injuries were reported in any of the incidents, police said.
