Independence Day Weekend features Fireworks Displays

The whirlwind of graduations, promotions and confirmations that was June is behind us now, and tomorrow the slower-paced month of July will arrive.  The school year is over, and many work places have switched to shortened summer hours.  Summertime promises longer days with more time for family, travel, recreation and sunshine.   Take a deep breath – hold it! – now let it out slowly.  Again.  Think warm, sandy thoughts.  Feel better?  Good!  Now let’s take a look at the coming weekend, and choose some fun, summer-mode things to do.

Of course, July begins with a long holiday weekend (our favorite kind!).  The 4th of July is a holiday like no other – American independence is celebrated with barbeques, picnics, baseball games, family time, and fireworks.  Our history is celebrated, our national pride displayed.  Read on for events happening in our area this weekend, and enjoy the summer groove.
