Verona, Cedar Grove Councils Meet Tonight

Lots of ongoing outdoor activities available in the week ahead.


This week, both Cedar Grove and Verona have a few meetings, but reserve some family time as temperatures are expected to be in the 70s and Spring begins.

First up, the Cedar Grove Township Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in council chambers. Check out the attached PDF of the agenda.

Verona's township council meeting will take also take place at 7 p.m. at Verona Civic Center, 600 Bloomfield Ave. See the attached PDF for the agenda.

On Thursday, the Verona Planning Board will hold its regularly scheduled planning board meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave. An attached PDF contains the agenda.

For the non-meeting portion of the week, Meatless Mondays in Ina’s Kitchen will take place at 63 Park Ave., Verona, where you can expect at least one Meatless Monday night 30-minute quick meal, one “Saturday night vegetarian” dinner, which means it took longer than 30 minutes to prepare and some real food cooked with love.

Wednesday is Family Night at the Verona Civic Center, 600 Bloomfield Ave., at 4 p.m. where families, who don’t want to cook at home, can pick up coupons to go out and eat together at local eateries. For more information, click here.

Verona LIVE Walking Club invites new members to come walk for free with them on Thursday in the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave., from 10-11 a.m.

If you miss the Walking Club at 10 a.m., join the Verona Fit Club on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 10 Fairview Ave., Verona.

Verona LIVE: Card and Games Club invites anyone to stop by at the Community Center Annex, 880 Bloomfield Ave., between 1 and 3 p.m. to play cards and socialize for free.
