Trespassing, Pot Possession Arrest At Overbrook Hospital In Cedar Grove
The defunct Essex County Hospital Center is long-known as one of the New Jersey's most infamous local urban exploration sites.

Cedar Grove, NJ – Cedar Grove police arrested a 20-year-old Manchester man for allegedly smoking marijuana and trespassing at the old Essex County Hospital Center last week, authorities said.
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, on July 10, officers received a citizen’s report of a group trespassing on the grounds of the defunct hospital center, long-known as one of the area’s most infamous local urban exploration sites.

An officer arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m. and saw a group of people walking to a pair of parked vehicles in the area, police said. While speaking to the group, the officer allegedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from one of the vehicles, authorities said.

After further investigation, the officer arrested a 20-year-old Manchester resident who had a small amount of marijuana (under 50 grams) and drug paraphernalia on his person, authorities stated.
