Tzu Chi Offering Chinese as Second Language Classes

Northern New Jersey Tzu Chi Academy offers a Chinese as a second language (CSL) program to non-Chinese speaking children to learn the Mandarin Chinese language, along with Chinese culture and humanitarian values, through fun and age-appropriate activities. We teach both the traditional form and Pinyin system in learning Mandarin Chinese. Classes are available from the beginner to intermediate level for students ages 5 and up. This year-long program starts the week of September 11, 2011 and ends in June 2012.

This Academy was established in 1997 with a firm belief in teaching students “kindness, compassion and joyful giving” and instilling “sincerity, integrity, trust and honesty in themselves.” Our goal is to develop students' language skills with positive cross-cultural values, so they can communicate in Mandarin Chinese with confidence.
