Cedar Grove Election Results: Tanella and Kumburis Triumph

If the unofficial results are correct, Cedar Grove will soon see a new face on its Township Council.

According to preliminary election results from the Essex County Clerk’s Office, challenger Harry Kumburis and incumbent Peter Tanella are the winners of Tuesday’s municipal election, beating out Michael Maffucci for the honor of representing Cedar Grove residents on the Town Council.

Out of 2,384 total votes, Tanella received 880, Kumburis received 753, and Maffucci received 744, with seven write-in votes counted.
