Verona, Cedar Grove Firefighters Extinguish House Fire

An electrical fire on Otsego Road in Verona on Monday afternoon prompted a multi-company response from local firefighters but caused no injuries.

Emergency responders from Verona, Cedar Grove and Essex Fells were at the scene of Monday’s fire, which started when a homeowner was working on a fixture that sparked and shorted inside his house, NorthJersey.com reported.

The North Caldwell, West Caldwell, Caldwell and Montclair fire departments provided coverage to the township until the fire was cleared.
