Verona Church Will Hold ‘Pet Blessing’ Event For 2017

VERONA, NJ — The First Presbyterian Church of Verona will hold a “Blessing of the Animals” at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17 on the church lawn at 10 Fairview Avenue.

According to the municipal website, the event will include a short service and blessing for those who “meow, bark, gulp or chirp,” followed by biscuits, kitty treats, bowls of water and human treats.

Dress is “very casual,” an event flyer states. Parking is available in the lot behind the church. Click here for more information.
