Verona Coaches Recognized for Achievements

Andrea Jordan and Gene Leporati were awarded at the NJSIAA and NJSCA awards luncheon.

Two Verona Coaches were recognized on Sunday, April 14, at the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) and New Jersey School Counselor Association (NJSCA) awards luncheon at the Pines Manor in Edison.

Andrea Jordan, Health and Physical Education teacher at H.B. Whitehorne Middle School, was honored by the National Federation of Coaches as a state winner for her distinguished background, experience, service and promotion in swimming, said Verona Athletic Director Gary Farishian.

Girls Track Coach Gene Leporati was also inducted in to the State Coaches Hall of Fame.

Coach Leporati joins other great Verona coaches in the State Coaches Hall of Fame behind, Al Rotella, George Stiefbold, and Bob Graham, said Farishian.

Leporati was inducted in to the State Coaches Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in the following areas:
