Verona Considering 2 Eminent Domain Purchases: Report

Verona officials are considering eminent domain to force the sale of two local properties for use as open space, a report says.

VERONA, NJ — Verona officials may be considering the use of eminent domain to force the sale of two local properties for use as open space, a report says.

The Verona Township Council introduced ordinances last week that would authorize the purchase of 25 Commerce Court and 111 Mount Prospect Avenue. Both are currently vacant, NorthJersey.com reported.

Both properties had previously been considered for use as affordable housing, NorthJersey.com reported. Forsons Partners LLC of South Orange owns both properties. (Read the full article here)
