Verona Firefighters Extinguish Mulch Fire, Find Cigarette Butts

Cops: The Verona Fire Department put out a mulch fire on Linn Drive, finding a bunch of cigarette butts after extinguishing the flames.

VERONA, NJ — The Verona Fire Department put out a mulch fire on Linn Drive earlier this month, finding a bunch of cigarette butts after extinguishing the flames, authorities say.

According to the Verona Police Department, an officer and Verona fighters responded to a report of an underground fire on Linn Drive on March 9.

On arrival, emergency responders extinguished a mulch fire, finding “numerous cigarette butts” in the area, police stated.
