Verona Food Truck Festival Canceled: What To Know

VERONA, NJ — Anyone planning to spend part of Saturday sampling food and enjoying music at Our Lady of the Lake will need to change plans, as the church has canceled its upcoming Food Truck Festival amid concerns about the weekend weather.

Our Lady of the Lake has canceled its Food Truck Festival, which had been scheduled for Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the OLL Church parking lot at Montrose Avenue and Hill Street in Verona.

The church's Food Truck Fest Committee said the severe weather forecast prompted the cancellation.

The National Weather Service currently forecasts showers likely in the Verona area Saturday, mainly after 2 p.m., with a 60% chance of precipitation and wind gusts as high as 37 mph.

The festival was set to feature food, beer, music, arts and crafts, OLL merchandise and calendar raffle tickets.

The committee said it will meet soon and may choose a new date in the spring.

“We appreciate your understanding and we hope that everyone stays safe this weekend,” the committee said.
