Verona High School Recognized by Newsweek
School ranks 775 in top 1,000 top high schools in the country.

Newsweek’s best public high schools in the country list is out, and Verona ranked No. 775 out of the top 1,000 high schools in the country.
In a similar Newsweek poll in 2011, Verona High School was ranked as one of the best public high schools in America, ranking 296 out of the top 500 high schools in the country.
In the poll, Newsweek used a methodology that measured how college-ready students were when they graduate from high school.
In the current poll, scores were tabulated using the following criteria: "[G]raduation rate (25%), college matriculation rate (25%), AP tests taken per graduate (25%), average SAT/ACT scores (10%), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10%), and AP courses offered (5%)," according to the report.
Cedar Grove High School did not make the list this year.
