VERONA, NJ — A Verona home on Summit Road was ransacked and a Mercedes Benz stolen during a forced burglary earlier this month, police say.
According to the Verona Police Department, the victim’s neighbor told the responding officer that he went to check on the home on Dec. 13 but found the garage door open and the rear entrance to the home “forced open.” The officer checked the inside of the home and found that someone had ransacked several dresser drawers.
Verona police said that a Mercedes Benz was stolen; the car was entered into the National Crime Information Center computer data base.
