Police Blotter: Sept. 18 to 25

All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
9/18/2015

11:19 AM - Officer John Lecreux took a report of criminal mischief from a Bloomfield Avenue resident. The resident reported damage to the door jamb of his apartment.
3:13 PM - Officer Lecreux took a report of found property from a Verona resident. The resident reported finding a debit card on Bloomfield Avenue. The owner was contacted and picked up their property.

4:12 PM - Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of found property from a Verona resident. The resident reported finding a health insurance card on Bloomfield Avenue. The owner was contacted and the property was returned.
5:23 PM - Officer Mike Barone responded along with the Rescue Squad on a report of a person who fell in the Pilgrim Plaza. After treatment for her injuries she was transported to Mountainside Hospital.

7:24 PM - Lt. Chris Kiernan took a report of a suspicious person from a Franklin Street resident. The resident reported that several vehicles have been observed coming and going to one house on Franklin Street. The neighbors are concerned about the activity at the house as well as the young children that are in the area. The resident was able to provide the descriptions of the vehicles to the officers.

10:55 AM - Officer Anthony Condorelli took a report of a found wallet. The owner was contacted and responded to pick up his property.
3:44 PM - Officer Barone took a report of a lost wallet from a Maple terrace resident. The resident reported losing her wallet which contained her NJ driver’s license, credit cards, various forms of identification and cash. She was advised to contact her bank and credit card companies as well as the Motor Vehicle Commission. She was provided with identity theft information.
9/22/2015
10:51 AM - Officer Frazee conducted a motor vehicle on Pompton Avenue for an observed violation. While checking the operators credentials several warrants were found from the Newark Municipal Court. The operator Sandy Dacostarodriguez of Newark was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing she was released with a court date in Newark.
10:53 AM - Officer Condorelli took a report of a theft from a Depot street resident. The resident reported three copper fence post tops were removed from his yard. Value of missing items is approximately $30.

9:54 AM - Officer Nielsen took a report of identity theft from a Hillwood Terrace resident. The resident reported that an unknown person has been using her Social Security number. She was provided with identity theft information and advised to monitor her accounts.

5:40 AM - Officer Alyssa Kirby responded to a Bloomfield Avenue bus stop on a report of a bag in the bus stop. The officer determined that the bag contained various pieces of clothing. The items were brought into headquarters and turned over to the property officer.
