Verona Police: Man Assaulted With 'Red Liquid' In Rush Hour Traffic
A local motorist reported that he was the victim of a traffic-related assault on Pompton Avenue in Verona.

Verona, NJ – A local motorist reported that he was the victim of a traffic-related assault in Verona on March 11, police stated.
According to the Verona Police Department, the alleged assault took place around 4:32 p.m. as the motorist was stopped at a traffic light on Pompton Avenue.
The victim told police that a man in the car next to him began yelling at him. When the victim lowered his window to confront the driver, the man allegedly threw a red liquid onto his car and into the front passenger seat.

The driver then fled the area, police stated.
Police said that the victim followed the man’s car and obtained his license plate number.
