Verona Police Will Start Wearing Body Cameras After Halloween

Verona police officers are expected to start wearing body cameras after Halloween, authorities said.

VERONA, NJ — Verona police officers will soon be wearing body cameras while on duty in the township, authorities said.

According to the Verona Police Department, officers will start using body worn cameras “on or about” Thursday, Nov. 1. Police called the devices “a useful tool” that “furthers the public trust with a sense of transparency and accountability.”
