Verona Suicide Prevention Training: ‘Be The Help Someone Needs'
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's New Jersey chapter will host a training workshop in Verona on June 8.
VERONA, NJ — It’s your chance to “be the help that someone needs.”
On Saturday, June 8, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s New Jersey chapter will host a training workshop in Verona that will teach people how to “administer first aid in a mental health crisis.”
The workshop is being held via support from the Verona Park/West Essex Out of Darkness Walk, organizers stated.

The training event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 36 Gould Street in Verona. To register, contact Rosemary Gabbe at (973) 865-8054 or rosemary@thefruitedplain.com. Class size is limited to 30 people; participants are encouraged to register early. (Learn more here)
