Verona Teen Pedalcyclist Hit By Nutley Driver
The girl was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with a knee injury.

A Nutley man hit a 13-year-old Verona girl with his car while she was riding a pedalcycle in Cedar Grove on Sunday.
According to Cedar Grove police, the incident took place around noon when the Nutley man was exiting the driveway of the Waterview Nursing Center on Ridge Road.
As he was leaving the driveway, the man’s 2015 Kia “bumped” the girl as she was riding on the sidewalk in front of the center, knocking her to the ground.

The driver’s view of the girl was obstructed by “large shrubbery,” according to the Cedar Grove Police Department.
The girl suffered a non-life threatening injury to her knee and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment.

No charges were filed against the vehicle operator.
