Verona Unveils New Virtual Historic Tour Of Township

VERONA, NJ — As the nation celebrates America's 250th anniversary, Verona is inviting residents and visitors to discover the local people, places and stories that have shaped the community through a new self-guided virtual historic tour.

The interactive tour features nine historic sites and landmarks across Verona, allowing participants to explore at their own pace—either on foot or from home. Each stop includes historical information, archival and present-day photographs, and stories that connect Verona's history to the broader American experience.

Highlights include Annin Flag, whose generations of American flag makers have played a role in the nation's history, as well as White Rock, the Verona Methodist Church, Bloomfield Avenue School, the Erie Freight Shed and Grove Street Park.

Whether completing the entire route or visiting select locations, the tour offers a unique opportunity for longtime residents and first-time visitors alike to celebrate 250 years of American history right here in Verona.
