Verona Woman Wakes Up To No Cable TV After ‘Suspicious’ Encounter: Cops
A Verona resident woke up to find that her cable service wasn't working after a "suspicious" encounter, police say.

VERONA, NJ — A Verona resident woke up to find that her cable service wasn’t working after a “suspicious” encounter with a utility service worker in front of her home last month, police say.
According to the Verona Police Department, the Cumberland Avenue resident told officers that she woke up in the early morning hours on Sept. 22 to find a person dressed as a utility worker apparently repairing wires directly in front of her home.
When she woke up in the morning, her cable was on the fritz, police say.

Verona police added that when the woman reached out to multiple cable companies in the area to inquire about the incident, she was told that no work was being conducted on that day and time.
