Verona Wrestlers 'Grapple For A Cure' With Alzheimer's Fundraiser

The Verona High School wrestling team held their "Grappling For a Cure" fundraiser
on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. The event was first created by VHS Alum, Mark Riggio, whose own grandmother battled Alzheimer's. It has been the team's community service project since 2013.

The event raised $1,170 which will be donated to the Alzheimer's Foundation. A check will be presented at the "Running for Answers" event scheduled for May, 4, 2019 in Roseland, NJ.
