17-Year-Old Wall Driver's Car Shot At In Howell, Police Say
The teen was not injured after his car was shot at on Wednesday night, police said, temporarily closing part of Route 33/34.
WALL, NJ — A teen driver from Wall Township was not injured after his car was shot at on Wednesday night, Wall Police Lt. Steven Nash told Patch.
The shooting happened in Howell Township around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities said.
According to Nash, the teen was driving a Black 2015 Hyundai Veloster and was not injured in the incident.

The shooting came to light when Wall Police posted that Route 33/34 westbound from Collingwood Circle was shut down for an active police investigation at about 8 p.m. Wednesday.
In an update posted around an hour later, Wall Police said they had received a report of a shooting from a vehicle, though an investigation found that the incident did not occur in Wall Township. The road was reopened around 9:30 p.m.

As of Thursday morning, Nash said a suspect is not in custody.
In a statement sent to Patch, a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said an investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing with members of the prosecutor's office's Major Crimes Bureau and the Howell Township Police Department.
