WALL, NJ — An 18-year-old boy has died following a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, Wall Police said.
At 5:36 a.m. on Thursday, Wall Township Emergency Services responded to the area of Squankum Allenwood Road for reports of a vehicle leaving the roadway.
Once they arrived at the scene, emergency personnel found a gray 2006 Honda Civic in the wooded area off the westbound lane of Squankum Allenwood Road with extensive damage.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as an 18-year-old male resident of Brick, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending next-of-kin notification.
Members of the South Wall Fire Department, Glendola Fire Department, Monmouth County EMS, Hackensack Paramedics, and the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under active investigation by Lt. Andrew Baldino and Ptl. Joshua Wheeler of the Wall Township Police Department.
