5 Arrested In Drug Bust, Wall Police Say

WALL, NJ — Five people have been arrested following a month-long controlled dangerous substance (CDS) investigation, Wall Police said.

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, Wall Police, in partnership with surrounding law enforcement agencies, executed court-authorized search warrants that led to the arrest of five people on multiple drug-related charges.

Those arrested and charged include:

Born Rush, 41, of Asbury Park, who was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tyreff Franklin, 41, of Tinton Falls, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine (less than 1/2 ounce), possession of crack cocaine, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Amanda Schneider, 33, of Manchester, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine (less than 1/2 ounce), possession of crack cocaine, possession of cocaine, tampering/destruction of evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Reed, 43, of Asbury Park, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine (less than 1/2 ounce), possession of crack cocaine, possession of cocaine, tampering/destruction of evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nicholas Shapiro, 33, of Freehold, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine (less than 1/2 ounce), possession of crack cocaine, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After being processed, Rush, Schneider, Franklin and Shapiro were remanded to the Monmouth County jail, police said.

Reed was processed and released on a summons in accordance with NJ Criminal Justice Reform guidelines.

The joint investigation was conducted by the Wall Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Patrol Division, and K9 Unit, alongside the Tinton Falls Police Department and the New Jersey State Police Drug and Weapons Trafficking Central Unit.

The lead investigator on the case was Patrolman Yannazzone.
