Bicyclist Seriously Injured, Witnesses Sought In Spring Lake Crash

SPRING LAKE, NJ — Spring Lake police are seeking the public's help in connection with a crash that seriously injured a bicyclist on Aug. 12.

The crash happened about 9:40 a.m. on Ocean Avenue near the intersection of Morris Avenue in Spring Lake, police said.

Police are seeking the driver of a dark-colored SUV, believed to be an Acura, which was in the area where the crash happened. Police said they do not believe this vehicle hit the cyclist but the driver may have information about the crash.

"The cyclist sustained serious bodily injuries. We are seeking witnesses to the accident," Spring Lake police said.

Police declined to release additional information about the bicyclist.
