Suspicious Death Probe After Body Found On Monmouth County Road

A suspicious death invesigation is underway after a man's body was found on a road in Monmouth County on Friday, prosecutors said.

HOWELL, NJ — A man's body was found lying on Hurley Pond Road in Howell on Friday morning, Howell Township police and the Monmouth County prosecutor's office said.

Chris Swendeman of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office labeled the matter a "suspicious death investigation."

Hurley Pond Road will be closed while the investigation is conducted, authorities said.

"We believe this is an isolated incident with no additional threat to the public," Howell police said.

It is not clear what time the man's body was found.
