Christmas Fire Destroys Wall Home, Kills Family's Dog
The fire reignited on Thursday morning, according to a report. All the people in the house escaped safely, fire officials said.
WALL, NJ — Authorities are still investigating a fire that destroyed a Wall Township home on Christmas and reignited on Thursday morning.
The fire at 2379 Peter Court killed the family's dog, Wall Capt. Greg Carpino said. It was reported shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and by the time firefighters arrived there were flames inside and outside the home.
The residents were out of the house by the time firefiighters arrived, but the family's dog was found dead after the fire, Carpino said.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, the fire was reported to have started up again and was again extinguished. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, he said.
Firefighters from all three Wall Township fire companies — South Wall, Glendola and Wall Fire Company 1 — responded to the fire, along with Wall Township Police EMS. Firefighters from the West Belmar, Spring Lake, Belmar, Brielle, Manasquan, Neptune and Point Pleasant fire companies provided support.

Also responding were the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's office, the Wall Township Office of Emergency Management and the Wall Township Building Department.
Jersey Central Power & Light and New Jersey Natural Gas responded as well, Carpino said.
