County Fair Starts With A Bang

The 37th Annual Monmouth County Fair runs through Sunday

The Monmouth County Fair kicked off Wednesday with events like Robinson's Racing Pigs and Paddling Porkers, a busted hose competition featuring fire departments from across the county, a lumberjack show and fireworks to cap the night.

The annual agricultural fair, held through Sunday at the East Freehold Park Showgrounds on Kosloski Road in Freehold Township is sponsored by the Monmouth County Parks System and the Monmouth County 4-H Association. Each day features educational activities at the Home and Garden Tent, the Living History Tent and the 4-H Show Tent.

Special activities and events such as a pie eating contest, a race car simulator, and an antique and classic car show will be featured throughout the week.
