New Jersey Blood Services is hosting a blood drive in loving memory of Peggy Whiteside on Tuesday, May 3.
WALL, NJ — New Jersey Blood Services is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, May 3 in memory of Peggy Whiteside, a retired school nurse, who died in 2021.
The blood drive will be held at the Church of St. Anselm, 1028 Wayside Rd, Tinton Falls from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Whiteside, who was formerly the chairperson for the church’s blood drives, died from COVID-19 last year. As a registered nurse, she had a strong interest in community health, as she was known for bringing her blood pressure monitor to church and was often seen taking people’s blood pressure in the social time after church services, said New Jersey Blood Services.
