WALL, NJ — Drivers on Route 35 near Belmar Boulevard encountered tiny pedestrians holding up traffic on Tuesday morning.

Thanks to a pair of Wall Township police officers, the little road-blockers — a group of baby ducklings — were moved safely from the road.

Patrolmen Kevin Orender and Steve Swenson were called to the scene about 9 a.m. on Tuesday and found the mallard ducklings hanging out in the middle of the road with no adult ducks in sight, Capt. Greg Carpino said.
