DWI Checkpoint This Weekend In Monmouth County
Enforcement efforts looking for drunk or drugged drivers will be carried out.

If you are planning to go out this weekend, remember to drive sober or find someone who will.
Authorities will be on the lookout for impaired drivers, and the Monmouth County DWI Task force will be conducting a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, officials say.
The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday on Route 33 in Neptune.

Task force members and officers from the Neptune Police Department will pull vehicles from the westbound
lanes into the Jumping Brook Plaza parking lot to determine drivers' sobriety, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, task force coordinator.
