DWI Checkpoints In Monmouth County For July 7-8
Authorities will be looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

There will be a pair of drunk driving checkpoints in Monmouth County this weekend, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force announced.
On Friday, July 7, there will be a checkpoint in Wall from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday on Route 138, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, task force coordinator.
Task force members and officers from the Wall Police Department will pull vehicles from the westbound lanes into the dental office parking lot to determine drivers' sobriety, Palmer said.

On Saturday, July 8, the task force will be operating in Allenhurst at Main Street and Elberon Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday through 1 a.m. Sunday, Palmer said.
Task force members and officers from the Allenhurst Police Department will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes of Main Street onto Elberon Avenue.

There will be officers trained to know the signs of drug impairment as well as alcohol impairment at both checkpoints.
