Flooding Closes Parkway Lane In Wall

The lane closure is until further notice; there is flooding on Routes 33, 35 and 71 as well, the state traffic website says.

WALL, NJ — One lane of the Garden State Parkway northbound is closed in Wall Township Monday morning due to flooding and a washout, according to the state Department of Transportation website.

The flooding has closed the right lane, according to 511nj.org. The right lane of the Parkway also is shut down in Brick due to flooding.

Total Traffic NYC tweeted there is a disabled vehicle in the area and the closures have caused a backup to exit 88 in Brick.

There are several other roads in the area with lane closures due to flooding, according to the website:

  • Flooding on Route 18 southbound ramp to Exit 11 - Deal Rd in Ocean Twp. Ramp closed use caution.
  • Flooding on Route 35 in both directions south of NJ 71/H Street in Belmar. 1 lane may be closed use caution.
  • Flooding on Route 71 in both directions south of Main St in Manasquan. 1 lane may be closed use caution.
  • Flooding on Route 35 in both directions south of Sylvania Av in Neptune City. 1 lane may be closed use caution.
  • Flooding on Route 33 in both directions at Collingswood Circle in Wall Twp. 1 lane may be closed use caution.
  • Flooding on Route 71 in both directions at Roseld Av in Deal. 1 lane may be closed use caution.
