WALL, NJ — If you are driving from the Wall and Belmar areas on Route 138 Saturday night, be prepared to stop for a sobriety checkpoint in Wall. From 10 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, all westbound Route 138 traffic will be diverted onto Maxwell Road, said Allenhurst Chief Michael Schneider, coordinator of the Monmouth County DWI Task Force.Local officers will work alongside Task Force members to conduct the sobriety checks, he said.The Task Force also ran a sobriety checkpoint on Friday night into Saturday morning in Freehold Township at Route 9 north, with northbound vehicles diverted into Juniper Plaza.
