Mail-in Ballot Applications Due Tuesday
Vote by mail, but get the application in next week

The deadline to apply for mail-in election ballots is looming, county officials said.
The Monmouth County election offices must recieve the applications for mail-in election ballots by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Any registered voter can use the Vote By Mail application program to cast a ballot prior to Election Day, Nov. 8. The Vote By Mail ballot has replaced the absentee ballot.
“There is no reason for a registered voter to miss out on voting in the upcoming Nov. 8 election,” Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French said in a release. “If you know who you want to vote for and might not be able to vote in person on Election Day, there is still time to apply to vote by mail.”
Upon receipt of an Application for a Vote By Mail ballot, the County’s Clerk Election Office will mail an official election ballot to the requestor.
“The voter should complete the official election ballot, and return it to the Board of Elections office at 300 Hall Mills Rd. in Freehold.” French said in the release. “The ballot, which can be mailed or delivered, must be received in the Board of Elections Office by the 8 p.m. close of polls on Nov. 8.”
The county election offices at 300 Halls Mills Rd. are open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but will have extended hours closer to Election Day.
