Man Dies In 3-Vehicle Crash On Jersey Shore: Authorities
An unnamed male driver from Neptune Township is dead after a car crash on Route 33, police said.
WALL, NJ — A Monmouth County male was killed following a three-car collision on Route 33 in Howell in the early hours of Friday morning, authorities said Friday afternoon.
The deceased driver was from Neptune Township, said Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey, but she did not identify him further.
A man from Jackson was taken to the hospital as a result of the collision and is currently in critical condition, she said.

The collision took place at approximately 12:05 a.m. on Route 33, just west of Colts Neck Road. The Jackson man was driving a 2004 Ford F150 pickup west on Route 33 when he crossed the centerline and sideswiped a 2004 Kia Rio, Linskey said.
The pickup kept going and hit a 2010 Dodge Challenger driven by the Neptune man, she said. The pickup truck overturned and the driver was thrown from the vehicle, she said.

The Neptune man died at the scene of the crash, Linskey said.
The female driver of the Kia Rio was not injured in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Monmouth County SCART and Howell Township Police Department.
