The driver of the 2000 Jeep Cherokee suffered serious injuries in the single-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:41 a.m. at mile marker 94.4 in the northbound side, Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams told nj.com

Gudelia Espinosa-Reyes, 45, of Passaic died in the crash, according to News12.
Williams told nj.com the driver, Mariano Cabrera Rosagel, 46, of Passaic, failed to maintain control of the SUV, and the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree in a wooded area.

Cabrera Rosagel was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with serious injuries, according to the report.
The right two lane of the northbound side were closed for three hours following the crash, which remains under investigation, according to northjersey.com.
