Parking Restrictions Set In Wall Ahead Of Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade

The restrictions aim to enhance public safety, reduce traffic congestion, and ensure unobstructed access for EMS during the parade.

WALL, NJ — Due to parking concerns associated with the Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade set to take place on Saturday, Wall Police will be implementing some parking restrictions throughout town.

Starting on Saturday, Wall Police will be implementing one-sided parking enforcement on the following roads:

  • Curtis Avenue (from State Highway 71 to K Street)
  • 17th Avenue (from State Highway 71 to K Street)
  • Woodland Avenue (from State Highway 71 to Pine Tree Way)

Parking will not be permitted on the south side of the above-listed streets, police said.

To ensure residents are properly notified, temporary signage and traffic cones will also be placed on Friday.

"These measures are necessary to enhance public safety, reduce traffic congestion, and ensure unobstructed access for emergency vehicles during Parade Day operations," Wall Police said.

"We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but these restrictions are being implemented to improve the overall experience for residents, visitors, and first responders," police continued. "Thank you for your cooperation."

Originally scheduled to take place on March 1, the Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade was rescheduled to take place on Saturday due to a blizzard that hit the Garden State.

The annual parade is a beloved tradition on the Jersey Shore, which features music, parade floats and more.
