Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle In Wall Twp Near Belmar Boulevard: Cops

Wall police are investigating a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Jan. 3 in the area of Birchwood Lane and Belmar Blvd.

WALL, NJ - Wall police are investigating a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Jan. 3 in the area of Birchwood Lane and Belmar Boulevard.

Officers from the Wall Township Police Department responded to the scene on Jan. 3, 2021 at approximately 8:55 p.m., Capt. Greg Carpino said in a news release. The pedestrian, a 32-year-old male from Asbury Park, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township with “serious injuries."

He was assisted by the Wall Township Police Department Emergency Medical Services and paramedics from Hackensack Meridian. Glendola Fire Department also responded to the incident to provide scene support, Carpino said.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s
Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Team (“SCART”) and the Wall
Township Police Department.
