Rare Flags On Display At Allaire Village In Wall
Allaire Village in Wall will have five historic flags on exhibition this weekend, the oldest flag dating back to about 1850.

WALL, NJ— The Historic Village at Allaire will put its rare historic American flag collection on display starting Friday, July 1, through July 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to mark Independence Day.
There will be more than five historic flags on exhibition at Allaire Chapel. The oldest flag dates to circa 1850 and is authenticated by the Smithsonian Institute.
A spokesperson for the village says admission is free on Friday to the display and the village. The flag display is free the rest of the weekend, but there is $5 admission to see the rest of the village, the spokesperson said.

To visit the historic village, experience early 19th century industrial community life, and explore the village grounds east of the Mill Pond, purchase a ticket in advance for general admission. You can also buy tickets at the ticket booth for ages 4 and up.
With the general admission, visitors can historic trades in action, including blacksmiths and tinsmiths, as well as tour period homes to see how each class in the village lived.
